Anti-depressants:
court cases and casualties
SSRIs (a type of anti-depressant drug) have been killing
thousands. Drug manufacturers saw this in their pre-release
testing, and hid the information. Here is a web site

From
The Wilderness news
Michael Ruppert has collected an overwhelming amount
of evidence that the government of the U.S.A. maintains
its position of global power through substantial trade
in illegal drugs. He has proven that the George W.
Bush administration had knowledge that an attack such
as 9-11 was going to occur, and that they allowed
it to happen in order to create a reason to destroy
the Taliban, which was the only obstacle preventing
the U.S.A. from monopolizing the vast oil resources
of central Eurasia. His presentation, "Truth and Lies
about September 11th", is a must see, and is
now available on video. He has generally proven--like
we need more proof--that the U.S.A. has been run by
very, very corrupt criminals.

predecessor was the UN Decades for Women, which was
formed when Manitoba women participated in the Third
World Conference on Women in 1985. Ten years later,
30 Manitoba women went to Beijing for the Fourth World
Conference on Women, participating in both the UN
conference and the parallel NGO (non- governmental
organization) Conference. They returned to Manitoba
with a commitment to see the recommendations in the
Platform for Action implemented. UNPAC supports the
objectives of the Platform for Action by working through
community action and with other organizations, locally

Accountable to Society and Citizens = Democracy
The "GASCD" is a double-cd compilation of music and
speech. "The CD and web site were launched to raise
awareness about the growing anti-globalization movement

line of the movement. Some of the initial money raised
will be going to aid the legal defense of those arrested
during the Quebec Summit of the Americas; while the
GASCD Board will continue to look to assists other
groups around the world as the project grows." (Note:
It is interesting that the band Barenaked Ladies is
on this CD, and yet also uses their music to advertise
new cars on television.)

Alternative
Tentacles Records
"Alternative Tentacles Records was established in
June of 1979 and is most likely the longest lasting
(and still active) underground record labels around.
Although it is perceived by many as a 'punk' label,
having released records by Dead Kennedy's and others,
it is actually best known for its impact on the world
of underground culture. [...] The label has continued
to remain vital in its lengthy history by refusing
to adhere to a formula for an easily identifiable
'Alternative Tentacles Sound.' Rather, the label has
released many political spoken word releases; as well
as releasing: Brazilian hardcore, bent pop, faux-country,
and assorted rock & roll. The label is also well known
due to its outspoken provocateur owner, talent scout
and recording artist, Jello Biafra."

How
evil is Monsanto?
"...for nearly 40 years, while producing the now-banned
industrial coolants known as PCBs at a local factory,
Monsanto Co. routinely discharged toxic waste into
a west Anniston creek and dumped millions of pounds
of PCBs into oozing open-pit landfills." This Washington
Post article is a mere glimpse of how terribly
hurtful and destructive Monsanto is, and how corrupt
governments are.

how a large share of America’s milk supply has quietly
become adulterated with the effects of a synthetic

injected into cows…and how pressure from the hormone
maker Monsanto led Fox TV to fire two of its award-winning
reporters and sweep under the rug much of what they
discovered but were never allowed to broadcast."

Focus
on the Corporation: The Mokhiber-Weissman column
on corporate power
The multinational corporation is the most powerful
institution of our time, dominating not only global
economics, but politics and culture as well. The
enormous influence of the corporation notwithstanding,
the mechanisms of corporate control and the details
of corporate abuses remain largely hidden from public
perception. The purpose of this column is to rectify
this informational shortcoming, to report and comment
critically on corporate actions and plans, from
particularized abuses to broad trends.

advertising in schools

entire school pandered to and brown-nosed the corporate
