Ads by Lloyd

Indeed, Lloyd is generally anti-ad creep. But he has done a couple of ads.

The Black Dog

Lloyd was recruited by his friend Kieron Lillo to help create an ad for The Black Dog Freehouse--a popular pub/live music venue/party place in Edmonton--for broadcast on CJSR FM 88.5 radio. Lloyd wrote the script, and the ad was created. But the first version was too long, and was not broadcastable. So Lillo did some production magic to make it shorter, and the final version is broadcastable.

Click here to hear the original, longer version of the Black Dog ad. (The sound quality of this verison is crappy because, at that moment, the only way to get the ad off of Lillo's stand-alone 8-track studio unit was through the air, from speaker to computer mic).
  • Script: Lloyd
  • Production, recording, mixing, and technical stuff: Kieron Lillo

  • Voices:
    • Dashing hero: Kieron Lillo
    • Damsel: Nicole Lillo
    • Bouncer, guy in basement, announcer: Lloyd

Duff Beer

One time, Lloyd's friend Allyson (drummer from the band A-Jo, hot chick, drummer for Lloyd, rad person) recorded a joke radio commerical advertising Springfield's Duff Beer (from The Simpsons). Lloyd helped write the script, and he performed all of the non-sampled vocals.

(This project was in no way licenced by or in consultation with the makers or broadcasters of The Simpsons, and was simply a for-credit project in the Advertisements unit of Allyson's Recording Arts diploma.)
